MSU Brownsville conducts Marine Safety & Pollution Response activities from Port Mansfield south to the Rio Grande River; 50 miles inland and 200 nautical miles offshore.  This area covers numerous facilities, marinas, and three ports, including an International Port of Entry.  Major waterways include the Brownsville Ship Channel, Rio Grande River, Arroyo-Colorado River, and the ICW from Port Isabel to Port Mansfield.

 

MSU Brownsville is co-located with the Port of Brownsville Police, next to the main entrance to the Port of Brownsville.
