Coast Guard Health, Safety, and Work-Life (HSWL) MOBILE APPLICATION
1. For those looking for information about Coast Guard Support programs and services to Coast Guard members and their families, an app is now available. I am pleased to announce the launch of the Coast Guard HSWL mobile app, available today on the iOS mobile platform and later this month for the Android mobile platform.
2. The Coast Guard HSWL mobile app contains information about the many quality of life resources available to Coast Guard personnel and their families (e.g., CG SUPRT, medical, housing, morale, well-being and recreation, family programs, Chaplain services, fitness, the Coast Guard Exchange (CGX) System, etc.). The app provides the ability for users to directly contact program services from their mobile device. For example, the app enables the user to access CG SUPRT services, the CGX System, and local unit ombudsmen.
3. There is also a wealth of information available to all users of the mobile app about the Coast Guard including its history, missions, components, and organizations. In addition, the application includes Coast Guard videos through YouTube, and Coast Guard news feeds through Twitter, Facebook, and Blogs. To improve your experience, Wi-Fi connectivity is recommended because some features may load slowly without it.
4. To download the Coast Guard HSWL mobile app, visit the App Store for your iOS device and Google Play for your Android device. Search for USCG HSWL to locate this app. Additional features, instructions for usage, and download directions are available at www.uscg.mil/ombudsman.
