Sector Charleston Command Master Chief
Master Chief Jeffrey Solomon
Master Chief Jeffrey Solomon assumed the duties as Sector Charleston’s Command Master Chief in June of 2023. He serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for all U.S. Coast Guard missions within Sector Charleston’s Area of Responsibility. Prior to this assignment, Master Chief Solomon served at Air Station Kodiak, Alaska in the Engineering Department, HC-130J Division. Air Station Kodiak has the largest Area of Responsibility, with the HC-130J platform covering all of District 17 and PACAREA at large.
Master Chief Solomon’s other previous assignments include the School Chief for the Avionics Electrical Technician (AET) class “A” school at Aviation Technical Training Center (ATTC) in Elizabeth City, N.C.; Air Station San Diego, CA; Air Station Kodiak, AK MH-60J/T Division; Air Station Humboldt Bay, CA; AET A School at ATTC, Elizabeth City, NC; Air Station Sitka, AK and CGC MAPLE (WLB-207) in Sitka, AK.
Master Chief Solomon is a graduate of the US Air Force Noncommissioned Officer Academy Class 12-1; a graduate of the Chief Petty Officer’s Academy Class 196; as well as a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Leadership Course Class 90.
Originally from a blend of Bellevue, Nebraska and Conifer, Colorado, he is married to Christin Solomon (USCG Retired) of Lancaster, California. They have two daughters, Anastasia and Calypso. Master Chief Solomon enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in February 2004. His personal awards include two Coast Guard Commendation Medals, two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and two Commandant’s Letter of Commendation Ribbons, all with the operational distinguishing device. In addition to various other personal and unit level awards, he wears the Basic Aircrew Member Insignia.
