Command Chief
CSC Zacary Hardin
Chief Culinary Specialist Zacary Hardin assumed the duties of Food Service Officer onboard USCGC CAMPBELL in July 2022, and he was selected as the unit’s Command Chief in January 2024. As Command Chief, he serves as the commanding officer's special advisor for all matters concerning the wellbeing of CAMPBELL's workforce.
Chief Hardin’s previous assignments include UCCGC ESCANABA (WMEC 907), Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City, USCGC CUSHING (WPB 1321), USCGC KODIAK ISLAND (WPB 1341), USCGC BLOCK ISLAND (WPB 1344), USCGC STATEN ISLAND (WPB 1345), USCGC ELM (WLB 204), and USCGC DILIGENCE (WMEC 616).
Originally, from Sanford, NC, Chief Hardin enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in July 2006. Chief Petty Officer Hardin’s military awards include five Coast Guard Achievement Medals, a Commandant’s Letter of Commendation and numerous unit, team, and service awards. He proudly wears the Permanent Cutterman Insignia.
